Strategic Simplification

What it means

Strategic thinking should be simple. Not simplistic, but clear enough to be easily understood, shared, and linked to daily actions (tactics).

Simplification should also be applied deliberately across the business. This includes clarifying core elements like products, messaging, and value propositions so they are easy to grasp, easy to communicate, and tightly connected to execution.

These two perspectives, simplifying strategy and applying simplification strategically, highlight how clarity can elevate performance across the board.

What I like to do

I love figuring things out, and explaining them. That’s what led me to Technical Marketing. Since studying Physics at university I have had 25 years of experience in sales engineering, product management and marketing in a wide range of technologies. What I do in my current role is assess technology trends in existing and emerging markets to provide guidance on the impacts for my company, its customers, and the industry overall. Through networking with industry experts and in depth research I untangle complex topics and identify essential features that the company needs to understand in order to market its existing products and develop new ones.
